We offer instruction for the beginner through to the advanced social dancer.

We aim to provide you with a relaxed, light-hearted, but informative structured learning programme that guides you through the various levels. We cover all five Latin American dances, Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Paso Doble and Jive and four out of the five Ballroom dances, Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep and International Tango.

Absolute Beginners

The Absolute Beginners’ class takes place on a Monday evening at 7.30pm and is specifically designed for those starting out and wanting to take their first tentative steps in ballroom dancing. We introduce you to some introductory steps from a selection of the more popular dances encouraging you to dance around the room with confidence.

Experienced Beginners

The Experienced Beginners’ class takes place on a Tuesday evening at 7.30pm, making use of the whole floor and building on the skills learnt in the Absolute Beginners’ class. We introduce some additional dances and choreography with the aim to provide you with the ability to navigate yourselves around the dance floor, avoiding other dancers, with a view to progressing onto the Wednesday night’s Improvers’ class.

Improver, Intermediate, Advanced Levels

Wednesday evenings at 8:00pm. The evening starts with social dancing from 8.00pm giving you an opportunity to socialise with like minded dancers and practise your steps and routines. From 8:30pm, instruction commences for approximately 45 minutes. The Improvers’ class takes place in the more intimate privacy of the rear studio whilst the Intermediate and Advanced classes work side by side on the larger floor in the main ballroom; each dance routine is taught for a three week period. The evening includes a short refreshment break after which we will present the dances learnt and finish off with social dancing until 10.00pm.
